Taylor Lazenby, Director
Taylor has been serving as the Pastoral Intern since June 2018. He graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2015 and is currently an M.Div student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to his beautiful wife, Kayla, and is the father of Madelyn Grace. He enjoys reading, watching sports, and playing golf.
Meagan Thompson, Editor
Meagan has been the Media & Ministry Assistant for First BAptist Covington since 2016, and she runs her own editing business. She has a Copy Editing Certificate from the University of California San Diego and is currently enrolled in their Creative Writing Certificate Program. Meagan is married to her husband, Joshua, and she enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.
Dr. Cody McNutt, Contributor
Dr. Cody McNutt has been the senior pastor at First Baptist Church since the fall of 2013. He has a B.A. from the University of Arkansas, and an M.Div and PhD from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Cody is married to Sally, and they have four beautiful daughters. In his spare time, Cody enjoys reading, landscaping, and playing golf.
John Thompson, Contributor
John Thompson has been the Children's Ministry Assistant at FBC since the fall of 2015, and as of fall 2018, he transited to the Missions Coordinator. He has a B.A. from the University of Georgia, a Master's in Special Education from Georgia State, a Specialists in Education from the University of Georgia, and is currently working on his M.Div from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. John is married to Julie, and they have four beautiful children. In his spare time, John enjoys reading, gardening, and cross fit.

Pastor Kris Foster’s goal in ministry is to help parents be the primary disciple-makers of their children. With this goal in mind, he joined the staff of First Baptist Church as the Pastor of Children and Families in August of 2018. He has an M.A. from Columbia International University and an M.Div in Christian Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kristopher is married to his wife Andrea (who is the beauty and brains behind the operation), and they have four children, two boys and two girls. In his spare time, he likes cooking for his family or guests.
